What a fascinating city and what a nice destination for a short break in every season.

If you are going there, don’t hesitate to book a room at the Arts Hotel. It was built some decades ago, for the 1992 Olympics, but it is still one of the landmarks.

The architecture of glass and steel, the view from your room (prefer upper levels if possible), but also the bar, the exquisite restaurant as well as the spa are fantastic. Not to mention the quality of the service and the kindness of the staff you can expect from a Ritz Carlton hotel.

It is a little bit remote (at the Port Olimpic), if you come to visit the Ramblas and the tourist areas, but it’s a nice (and safe) walk along the seaside and the harbor, to get there.
